U-20 CONMEBOL Libertadores: River finished a great tournament El Millionario wasn’t able to win the title and lost 2-1 in the final against Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle, in Paraguay. Matías Benítez scored the goal.

River Plate, managed by the Borrelli-Fermani duo, did a tremendous job throughout the U-20 CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup, winning all the matches up to the final one, which was played on Sunday, March 1st against the Ecuadorian team.

Independiente del Valle won 2-1 and got the trophy, but the River guys had the satisfaction of having had a great performance. It is worth remembering that el Millionario has already won this cup in 2012.

In the final, River’s starting eleven were: Díaz, E. López, Suárez, Gutiérrez, S. Montiel, E. Fernández, Matlis, Galván, Benítez, Beltrán and Gondou.
