Following an early, harmless effort by Enzo Giménez from the edge of the box and a header from Alejo Véliz that posed little trouble for goalkeeper Santiago Beltrán, River took control of the match and created several clear chances. Sebastián Driussi even made it 1-0 from a corner kick, but the goal was ruled out after a VAR review for offside.

Before and after that, River Plate threatened Jeremías Ledesma with a high shot from Fausto Vera and a long-range right-footed effort by Facundo Colidio that almost went in after the bounce. Lautaro Rivero also came close with a well-taken shot from the left that flashed past the post. The clearest chances came later: a Juan Quintero left-footed shot that forced Ledesma into a fingertip save, and a cross from No. 10 after a superb team move that Driussi failed to connect with.

The hosts came out stronger after the break, prompting a pair of excellent interventions from Beltrán—first against Emanuel Coronel’s surge down the right and then when he reacted quickly to block Gaspar Duarte. River, on the other hand, did not create chances as clear as in the first half, but did threaten through Maximiliano Salas with a volley and a left-footed strike from outside the box by Aníbal Moreno.

With this draw, River sits on seven points from three games and will now begin preparations for the next fixture, scheduled for next Saturday at the Mâs Monumental against Tigre.
