The match began with two mild approximations, one on each side. First, Franco Armani blocked a far kick, and in the next one, Ezequiel Unsain controlled an attempt by Enzo Pérez. River had another opportunity with Rodrigo Mora, the Uruguayan came from the left and shot a powerful kick that bounced on the first post.

However, the local team gained the advantage thanks to a goal by Fernando Márquez. From then on, it all went in River’s favor. Lucas Pratto was close to scoring with a right kick from outside the area, Pérez tried once more from far, and Mora shot a free kick that Unsain blocked near the left post. Defensa y Justicia came close with a free kick by Márquez that went by near Armani’s left post.

During the final minutes of the first half, River had an amazing opportunity with Mora after Pratto assisted him. Then, River was awarded a penalty after a kick by Gonzalo Martínez. The number 10 kicked it and scored the draw. In the last play, Javier Pinola took advantage of a free kick by Pity, and after a few bounces, he scored River’s second goal.

During the second half, River continued to own the match and started generating danger. Nacho Fernández warned the rival team with a deviated kick, and then Pratto scored the third goal, his second official goal with River’s jersey after a very powerful right kick right into Unsain’s left angle.

El Millonario controlled the match, it did not have any surprises with the approximations of the rival team, and could have scored more goals. Nonetheless, Gallardo’s team added a new victory and now waits for the next match on Thursday against Independiente Santa Fe on another date of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup at the Monumental Stadium.
