ESRiver sets its dream in motion in League A1 With the presence of all the squad members and of the highest authorities of the Club, el Millonario had its official presentation.
When there are only a few hours left to jump into the court in the first round of the Argentine League, which will mark the return of el Millonario to the highest volleyball category, the squad led by Fernando Borrero has its official presentation in front of the press, Club authorities and special guests.
The event, which took place in the Paddock of Monumental Stadium, counted on the presence of the President of the Club, Rodolfo D’Onofrio, MatíasPatanian (Second Vice President), Horacio Caffaro (head of Physical Departament), Daniel “Palito” Fidalgo (Sports Manager) and Horacio Galetar (president of the Volleyball Subcommittee), among other authorities who gave their best wishes to all the players and the coaching staff that will defend the red sash in this new challenge.
Addressing the squad members, Rodolfo D’Onofrio highlighted that “returning after eight years fills all of River’s members with pride: the Club makes an effort, but it does so with huge delight because you deserve it,” and he wished them “the greatest success, which, wearing this shirt, does not only mean winning, but also defending values.”
For his part, the team coach, Fernando Borrero, was very thankful for “having been chosen for this undertaking that is to put River where it should be.”
“More than half of the players in the squad have taken their first steps in the Club and that is the most important, because we aim at continuing to develop this activity within River,” said the coach.
To close the ceremony, the protagonists gave interviews to the press media that attended the presentation.
