The event took place in Museo River and was led by Sergio Goycochea (former goalkeeper of the Club and the Argentinian National Team) and counted on the presence of Rodolfo D'Onofrio (President of River), George Zhangzhe (CEO of Huawei terminals for Argentina and Uruguay), Marcelo Gallardo (coach of the professional squad) and Leonardo Ponzio (captain of the professional squad). Matías Patanian (Second Vice president), Luis Landoni (Marketing President) and members of the Managing Board were also present.
In addition to its privileged presence on the team’s apparel, the brand will appear in the advertising boards of Monumental Stadium and in different communication and promotional material. The agreement shall be in force for two seasons.
After signing, D'Onofrio said: “River takes great pride in having Huawei as part of our shirt. We are very pleased to be able to work together with a global leading technology company, with values, seriousness and commitment."
For his part, Zhangzhe stressed: “The sports sponsorships we are globally doing help us approach our consumers and make them feel that Huawei is a local and close brand, committed to remain and grow with them. We feel identified with Argentinian football because our company shares its values: the passion and professionalism that characterize it."
