River Did Everything But Got Nothing Against Huracán Marcelo Gallardo’s team created many goal situations but it did not took advantage of them, while the local team had few, and won the match by 1-0 with a controversial penalty.

River started the match a lot better and it did not take long to control Huracán and create goal situations. The first one was a long kick from Gonzalo Martínez that was deflected. Then, Ignacio Scocco was not able to gain position to shoot into Marcos Díaz’s goal.

The opportunities kept coming. After a play on the right, Martínez could not gain position, but Rafael Borré had a clearer one: a one-on-one after an assist from Scocco that Díaz blocked quickly. Nacho Scocco also had his chance, but he took too long to kick the ball.

On the other hand, Huracán found its first goal with a controversial penalty awarded by Germán Delfino after a foul by Gonzalo Montiel. Ignacio Pussetto took it and scored. The last chance was also for the local team, with a header by Israel Demonte that Germán Lux blocked.

The attitude of the second half was no different. Although Huracán had the first and only goal situation created with a kick by Ricardo Noir blocked by Lux, River answered with an opportunity created by Scocco blocked by Díaz, and an amazing chance by Rafael Borré, who was not able to take advantage of a free kick.

El Millonario had an unbeatable situation: Scocco could not kick a center shot by Borré, and the Colombian forward’s kick crossed Díaz’s goal. Marcelo Saracchi also had its own after a good individual play on the left.

River could not win at the resume of the Superliga and now focuses on its next match, next Saturday night at the Monumental Stadium.
