ESRiver and adidas presented the new alternate jersey The brand new design was made public on Thursday, February 28th and will be worn for the first time on Saturday at the Monumental stadium, against Newell’s.
El Millionario’s new sacred mantle combines red and black in an innovative design, resulting in an urban-inspired and ground-breaking jersey. The colour choice is based on the traditional airborne imagery of the Monumental stadium every Copa Libertadores night.
Furthermore, the three red stripes on the shoulders and the black neck with white details complete the jersey. The rest of the kit includes shorts and socks displaying the same colour combination.
The jersey is available for presale since February 28th at adidas.com.ar/river_plate, at the River Museum’s adidas stores, and at the adidas Performance stores in Unicenter, in Abasto Shopping, on Florida street and in Lomas de Zamora. As of March 7th, it will be available in the country’s remaining sports stores
