The presentation took place in the City of Buenos Aires, and the participants included Rodolfo D´Onofrio, Ignacio Villarroel (Secretary), Luis Schvimer (Treasurer), Gustavo Balabanian (Head of Marketing) and players Leonardo Ponzio, Rodrigo Mora, Jonatan Maidana, Javier Pinola, Germán Lux, Bruno Zuculini, Santiago Sosa, Nahuel Gallardo and Julián Álvarez. On behalf of adidas, Fernando Colombo (adidas Argentina’s CMO) was present.
This is a completely disruptive and innovative design, violet returns to the Millionario’s jersey. This color was last displayed in the 2008 season, when River won the Clausura (“Closing”) Tournament. Previously, a violet garment had been worn as an alternate jersey during the 1969, 1971 and 1975 seasons. The kit also includes shorts and socks in shades of violet.
The jersey is available at TiendaRiver.com, at the River Plate Museum’s adidas store and at the adidas Performance stores in Unicenter Shopping, in Abasto Shopping, and on Florida Street. As of Tuesday, September 18th, it will be available at all adidas stores in Argentina.
