Inspired by adidas’ first design for River in 1982, the new “Sacred Mantle” is predominantly white and red, with the three stripes on the shoulders and a pixelated design on the traditional band. The jersey comes with black shorts and white socks. Furthermore, the new collection includes a new maroon training kit.
It will be worn for the first time on Tuesday, July 16th, during the match against Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in San Luis, for the Argentine Cup.
The launch was also an opportunity to celebrate the 37-year-long relationship between the club and the brand, one of the world’s longest-lasting relationships of this kind. Besides, River’s First Division female players were also part of the communications campaign.
The jersey, together with its women’s and children’s editions, will be available at TiendaRiver.com beginning July 11th as well as in the adidas stores at River, Unicenter, Florida, Cabildo and Abasto, and at Templo de Fútbol beginning July 12th.
