The book "River, La Máquina. Copas. Superávit. Compromiso Social” was launched This Tuesday, May 9, in the Salón José Hernández and within the context of the International Book Fair, the launching event of the “River Case” took place, with Matías Martin as anchorman and in the presence of more than one thousand people.

Rodolfo D’Onofrio (President of River), Gustavo Silikovich (General Manager of River), Federico Saravia (professor in charge of the management of the project in the School of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires) and Manuel Sbdar (researcher and leader of the business school MateriaBiz) were present.

Besides, a video was screened in which Guillermo Cascio (Club’s secretary and one of the authors of the book) explained how the team work was carried out in a 100 days-plan after D’Onofrio took office. In that plan, many management models were applied, that today are subject of study in universities. Some core aspects can be named, such as financial management; investment management; development of new income opportunities to complement the traditional one; application of technology, processes and improvement of services.

This arouse in the University of Buenos Aires a particular interest about a non-profit civil association that showed a new form of organization, in which many management models coexist. And if there is something that this two institutions have in common is, besides the social role they have, their impact on the community they are part of.

So it was that the UBA’s proposal to incorporate the “River Case” in the last subject of the careers offered in the School of Economics (UBA).

Now, the incorporation as material from de “River Case” allows to arouse the interest of many students in a business that puts passion at the service of management. In that sense, without losing the essence of the civil association, the Institution as a management model not only aroused UBA’s interest, But also that of its associates, fans, employees, board and all the River world that in many cases are university students.

As from the next four-month period, the students of careers in Economics will be able to access the case, that became the book named: “River, La Máquina. Copas. Superávit. Compromiso Social”.
