As it had happened a week ago in Mar del Plata, River won the superclásico and Mendoza was a "millionaire" party. With goals by Rodrigo Mora, by penalty, Marcelo Gallardo's team won 1-0 against the arch-rivals and lifted the Luis Nofal cup.

In a first half in which neither team managed to be precise, the two generated some actions of danger.Tevez defined without success from outside the area in the best chance of Boca, while River was very close to break the zero in the last part of this half: in the minute 40, Fernández enabled Mora, who sent the ball just over the left post of Orión; in the last chance of the first half, Alario saw Fernández in the area, whose header was returned by the post when the goalkeeper had already been beaten.
