RIVER WON WITH AUTHORITY IN THE MONUMENTAL STADIUM El Millonario won 3-1 to Chapecoense in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana.

In another night of Copa Sudamericana, River is back. Marcelo Gallardo's team got a game in which it had the control of the ball and it also could recover from the unfair Chapecoense tie. The victory was held with the scoring presence of Carlos Sánchez and the extraordinary quality of Leonardo Pisculichi.
River demonstrated its superiority from the start of the match. The opening of the scoreboard was due to a good move by Milton Casco, who ran down in the left wing and made a precise pass to Sánchez, who kick with this left foot to put the ball near the right post of Danilo.
River dominated and did not let the opponent to play. However, in a distraction, Chapecoense reached the tie thanks to Maranhão, who defined below the body of Marcelo Barovero. So it ended the first bittersweet half for the champion of America.
In the second half, after a few minutes of uncertainty, Pisculichi scored a spectacular free kick goal, in what was it his first goal after the one he had scored against Atlético Nacional in the final move, in Colombia, last year.
After the goal of Piscu, River continued looking for the third goal. And it was successful in the closing of the match: SebastiánDriussi fought a ball inside the area and then he passed it to Sánchez, who was alone in the far post and could guarantee the victory of River.
Thus, River will be seeking the qualification for the semifinal next week, when visiting Chapecoense on Wednesday.
