River went into the field with Augusto Batalla; Gonzalo Montiel, Luciano Lollo, Alexander Barboza, Camilo Mayada; Tomás Andrade, Exequiel Palacios, Iván Rossi, Denis Rodríguez; Carlos Auzqui and Ignacio Scocco.

In the first minutes, the local took the lead with a header after a corner kick, but el Millonario came to the equality thanks to the opportunism of Scocco, who captured a rebound in the area after a header from Barboza. El defense, close to the end of the first half, was in charge of scoring 2-1 with a low left-footed kick.
