El Millionario didn’t take long to threaten Aldosivi’s goal: the first threat was a great attacking play and a front shot fired towards Exequiel Palacio’s goal, but the ball was deflected by a rival defender when it was destined to be a goal. Then, in a corner kick, Nacho Fernández arrived first at the first goalpost and was close to opening the scoring.

In another play by River, Rafael Borré couldn’t capitalize on a good assist by Gonzalo Montiel, but the local goalkeeper was quick to block him. For its part, Aldosivi responded with a shot by Leandro Maciel and a left-footed crossed shot by Lucas Villalba. Nicolás De La Cruz gave a warning while he approached the goal on the left and then shouted the first goal after a good play between Borré and Matías Suárez. El muñeco’s team almost scores the second one after a shot by Suárez that went above the crossbar.

Aldosivi had a chance to even the score in the second half, with a header by Marcos Miers, saved by Franco Armani. Then River took control, threatened with an individual move by Suárez on the left and scored the second goal, after an exquisite pass from De La Cruz to Borré, who scored competently on Luciano Pocrnjic’s coming off his line.

Nazareno Solís almost scores with a right-footed shot from outside and then, Federico Gino’s goal arrived, after a good collective play by Aldosivi. However, River wasn’t affected, it remained in control and went looking for the third goal, which almost arrived in two clear situations brought about by Nacho Fernández (one was a header) and then a high left-footed shot by Lucas Pratto.

River became the Superleague temporary leader again thanks to these three points. In the meantime, next weekend it’ll host Rosario Central at the Monumental Stadium.
