River Plate successfully began the defense of the “Copa Argentina”, after beating 7-0 to Central Norte de Salta this Sunday night, in the stadium of Colón de Santa Fe, in its first official match of the season. This is the way Marcelo Gallardo’s team approached the sixteenth finals, instance in which he will face Villa Dálmine.

It took River only four minutes to open the scoring. Scocco shoot the first goal, after receiving the assistance of Ignacio Fernández; Then Lucas Pratto; again Scocco; Martinez Quarta headed the fourth; and at last Exequiel Palacios, completing an excellent first half, which closed with a 5-0 that made clear the difference in hierarchy between both teams.

In the second half, with only three minutes of the game, Palacios scored another goal. Then, Gallardo made the three changes, placing Mora, Ferreira and Borre. And so the Colombian scored the last goal of the night, at the nineteenth minute.

River created several more situations in the rest of the game, but Borré, Mora and Ferreira could not achieve the goal, while Central Norte barely interacted with the goalkeeper with a shot by Encina that went by a post.
