For the first time in the history of this competition, one of the most important automobile races in the world, a football club showed its badge on a car’s body: River’s badge was on the car of the racing team Juncos Racing.

The presentation took place on Thursday, May 23rd, at the Club’s auditorium. Adrián Varela (River International) and Ricard Juncos (creator of Juncos Racing) were present.

“It’s a pleasure for River. This has to do with River International’s reinsertion policy which began with Rodolfo D’Onofrio’s second tenure and consists in bringing River as a brand to the fore at the international level. I want to thank Juncos and his team for this possibility,” Varela expressed.

Likewise, Ricardo Juncos said: “As a River fan, I’ve always wanted to have the Club’s logo on the car. This race is very important for me. I’m very happy and I believe that the Indianapolis 500 is essential to River’s expansion goal. From now on, positive things will come for both.”
