After qualifying to the second round of the Copa Libertadores, River Plate visited the stadium of Boca Juniors to play the second Superclásico of the AFA Championship.

In the first moments, the millionaire had a dangerous situation after a shot from Lucas Alario. Boca answered with a run of Cristian Pavón, whose center passed through the area and was lost for the bottom line.

About ten minutes of the first half, Pablo Pérez saw the red card for an inexplicable kick to Eder Alvarez Balanta when the match had already been detained. River took control of the match and was the dominator, but failed to convert the situations that had: a header from Alario, a great free kick from Andrés D'Alessandro that contained Agustin Orion and an approach from Rodrigo Mora.
