River turns match around to celebrate win in Salta The team managed by Martín Demichelis was 0-2 down against Universidad de Chile, but leveraging skill and determination, won the friendly 4-3 at the Padre Martearena stadium. The goal scorers were Herrera, Borja, Barco, and Solari.

The match was off to an exciting start: Pablo Solari tapped the ball to Agustín Palavecino, who feinted his way into the box and struck a left-footed shot that was saved by Cristóbal Campos. Universidad de Chile responded with a shot from Cristian Palacios and, soon after, took the lead with a goal from Israel Poblete. While River was looking for the tie, Solari had a chance but couldn't take a comfortable shot.
Franco Alfonso set up a dangerous play on the left-hand side and, taking a long-range shot and exhibiting great ball control, set up Miguel Borja, who failed to score. The Chilean team took advantage of a quick run upfield and set the score at 2-0 with a header from Palacios; however, it wasn't long before River reduced the deficit with an on-target right-footed shot from Andrés Herrera. River had a few chances to even the score before half-time, but failed to score with shots from Borja (backheel shot), Jonatan Maidana (header), and Herrera (off-target shot).
At the very start of the second half, River celebrated scoring the second goal and evening the score, following a feint by Agustín Palavecino and a low cross from Herrera, coming from the right-hand side, for Borja to tap the ball into the goal. River’s No. 8 almost scored the third goal with a powerful right-footed shot that went just high over the rival goal. The team managed by Demichelis was very determined to win, turning the match around with a goal from Barco off an assist from Herrera.
Dominating the match, with everything under control, River claimed the win with a good low shot on goal from Solari, off a pass from Borja. Toward the end, Leandro Fernández scored off a free kick, reducing the deficit. Thus, River brought happiness to the thousands of fans filling up the Padre Martearena stadium; the leader of the Professional Football League table will play against Unión, on Friday, at the Mâs Monumental stadium.
