River stuck its chest out Marcelo Gallardo’s team reverse the match against Lanús: after losing 1-0, it won 3-1 with goals scored by Ariel Rojas, Gonzalo Martínez (the figure) and Carlos Auzqui.

Tuesday night wasn’t just one more night. River fans were able to see their team playing as visiting team and el Millonario had a difficult task in the south, against Lanús, where it was obliged to win in order to avoid losing the fight for the national championship, after the good start in the Copa Libertadores.
In the first phase, Lanús started a little better and bothered with moves by Lautaro Acosta and José Sand, while River answered with Gonzalo Martínez’s shot from outside the area and a run of the 10 that could not score the goal. When the match was at its most even point, the local put itself on the top of the scoreboard with Sand’s goal, after a series of rebounds. However, River could have got the tie before half-time: Martínez slammed a shot in Esteban Andrada’s left corner.
In the second half, River was the protagonist: it quickly tied with Ariel Rojas’ powerful shot and since then it took control of the match. It had situations to score the second one, which arrived thanks to Martínez’s free kick that got deflected in the wall and shocked the local goalkeeper.
Right near the end, and after another good kick by Martínez, el Pity led a great team move, gave the ball to Lucas Alario and the forward enabled Carlos Auzqui to score the 3-1. In this way, River got to the 26 points. In the next round, it will receive Belgrano de Córdoba in the Monumental Stadium.
