The champion of America is now among the best four teams of the Copa Sudamericana and the dream of defending the title is alive. In Chapecó, the team was defeated 2-1 and it suffered during almost all the match, but it managed to classify thanks to the 3-1 victory achieved last week in Núñez.
River threatened in the first minutes with a weapon that had been key in the first leg: the kick of Pisculichi. In six minutes, a free shot of this player was deviated close to the right post of Danilo and it came very close to become the first goal of the night. Thus came the end of the match, with a River that suffered more than as usual to close the series, but that once again was successful in the quarterfinals and now waits for a rival for the next round of the Copa Sudamericana.
