RIVER PLATE GROUP IN 2016 LIBERTADORES CUP On Tuesday 22 December, in Luque, took place the draw for the next edition of the maximum continental competition.

River Plate will defend the Copa Libertadores in its 2016 version, proclaimed champion of this year after winning the final 3-0 to Tigres from Mexico in the Monumental stadium. 

Thus, the current champion of the Copa Libertadoreswill be seeded in Group 1 and will share this group with The Strongest (Bolivia), Trujillanos (Venezuela) and the winner of the playoff between Sao Paulo (Brazil) and César Vallejo (Peru).
