River hammered Temperley at the Monumental El Millonario lived a night of pure joy: it defeated Temperley 4-1 with the goals scored by Lucas Alario (2), Sebastián Driussi and an amazing one by Camilo Mayada.

River had to add by threes once again so as not to lose step in the First Division championship, after the tie of the last match against Sarmiento. That is why, against Temperley, Marcelo Gallardo’s team achieved an important victory.
In the first part, River owned the ball and went towards the rival goal with collective forward moves, making the most of its team game. Thus, el Millonario had the first dangerous situations, both at Sebastián Driussi’s feet: a shot went outside after a play with Lucas Alario and the other one was cut out by the goalkeeper Matías Ibáñez.
Then, the opening of the scoreboard began: Rodrigo Mora enabled Alario within the area and the scorer didn’t miss it: sharp shot upwards for the 1-0. However, a few minutes later, Temperley took advantage of a quick play and tied the match thanks to a goal scored by Christian Chimino above Augusto Batalla.
In the second half, and after a clear play that Temperley had at the feet of Emiliano Ozuna, River moved forward in the scoreboard once again due to a penalty kick made by Alario (brilliant performance), after a hand from Gastón Aguirre following Gonzalo Martínez’s shot. Since then onwards, el Millonario took control and pulled the strings of the match.
The 3-1 arrived after a good play by Martínez, who enabled Driussi so that River’s scorer in the championship could define downward. Finally, the gem of the night: an amazing goal by Camilo Mayada, who put it into place and struck a perfect right kick that dived into a corner.
With this victory, el Millonario added by threes once again and in the next round it will visit Boca Juniors, but first it will receive Emelec for the Copa Libertadores.
