River ended its participation in the group phase

It was a special day in the Monumental Stadium, owing to a new anniversary of the Institution, but the celebration could not be complete, since Deportivo Independiente Medellín won the match.

In the first half, River took the initiative and had control of the match. Before the three minutes, and after a grip on Carlos Auzqui within the area, el Millonario had the opportunity of a penalty kick, but Lucas Alario’s shot was caught by the goalkeeper David González.
