RIVER ENDED IN A TIE AT THE MONUMENTAL On the 16th. match of the local championship, the team led by Marcelo Gallardo didn’t got the three points that needed to get on top of the tournament: the resolution was 1-1 against Temperley club.

The Monumental Stadium was impeccable expecting to see River play again. The match was against Temperley at the first official game on this semester in Nuñez neighbourhood. The team needed the victory to get on top of the tournament and be positive about next Tuesday’s match, the semifinal of Libertadores Cup.

River went out on the playing field determined and with short and low passes tryed to generate danger over the rival goal area, despite this attempt there were no clear goal situations.

However, during a free kick over the right angle, Ramiro Funes Mori got the ball and with his left foot put the ball just on the side of the right mast. However, this advantage soon ended: Gabriel Esparza took advantage of an inattention and got his chance. The match was now 1-1.

During the second part, Rive didn’t find the way to define the match. The team was close to a second goal but it didn’t happen.

With this tie, Rive didn’t get the chance to lead the tournament. The next match will be on Saturday in Rafaela against Atlético Club. Before this, on Tuesday, Rive will be competing for the semifinals of the Libertadores Cup against Guaraní.
