River Plate tried to have a good performance in Nunez, looking to win after having been defeated by San Martin de San Juan and Estudiantes. Marcelo Gallardo's team started firmly in the first half and it managed the match.

Before minute 15, Gonzalo Martinez headed a cross by Carlos Sánchez from the right: the ball, pumped, entered the arc of Marcos Diaz when the Uruguayan midfielder went to look it and it bothered the defender who was trying to clear it on the line.

Then River created several situations to score the second goal, but it could not do it and Huracan found the tie in a overlook of River Plate defenders who could not block a shot by Daniel Montenegro.

In the second half, River took control of the match, while Huracan defended looking to counter attack, and it actually had some chances. River pushed always forward, although it could not break the defense of the visiting team.

With this tie, River has 38 points with a game in hand. The next match will take place against Nueva Chicago.
