In a new edition of the Superclásico, at the Monumental Stadium, River Plate’s fans were there to brighten up with that unrivalled passion this encounter before the final of the Argentina Cup, one of the main objectives of the semester.

The visit was good during the first minutes and, after a one-to-one that Augusto Batalla blocked to Pavón, Bou received at the door of the area and defined with a cross for the 1-0. Then, River started to grow and, after a pair of attacks, scored the tie with a great goal volleyed by Sebastián Driussi.

A few minutes after that, Jorge Moreira kicked a perfect center for Lucas Alario to put his head and turn the game around. What is more, el Millonario could have scored the third one before the half time, with another shot from the forward that went high.

In the second half, River was ready to settle the match, but couldn’t materialize the clear situations it had in Alario and in Gonzalo Martínez (Werner blocked him a very clear one-to-one). Boca tied the match after a false start from Batalla, who had before been protagonist with an amazing save against Pavón.

Ten minutes before the end, the visitor got to the third goal through Tevez and during injury time, with River focused on the attack, Centurión scored the last goal of the match.
Now, el Millonario is going to play on Thursday the final of the Argentina Cup against Rosario Central, in Córdoba, and the next weekend it will compete against Olimpo, in Bahía Blanca, in its last match of the year.
