ESRiver closed the semester against Olimpo In the 15th round of the local tournament, the Millionaire tied 1-1 in Bahia Blanca; Gonzalo Martínez scored a great goal for the tie.
In the fifthteenth round of the First Division Tournament, River visited Olimpo in Bahia Blanca and, in a closed match that began losing 1-0 , finally tied 1-1 thanks to a great goal from Gonzalo Martínez in the final minutes.
The match began very evenly, with both teams disputing the ball in the midfield and they did not reach the rival’s area till the minute 19 of the first half, with a header of Funes Mori after a crossed kick from Pisculichi. In the first 45 minutes they also tried Ponzio, Martinez, Pisculichi and Maidana, with no luck, with approximations to the rival’s area defended by Champagne.
In the second half, the millionaire got out to the field with a change: the entry of Lucas Boyé for Ariel Rojas. But, in the 13th minute, appeared Mansilla to score the 1-0.
Marcelo Gallardo ordered the entries of Kaprof and Franco Lopez for Ponzio and Cavenaghi, respectively, looking for alternatives in attack. The youth players had good combinations, but it was "Pity" Martinez who, at the minute 42, took the advantage of a Pisculichi’s corner kick to scored with his left leg from outside the area and seal the final 1-1.
In this way, River closes a great semester and starts the winter break.
