River celebrated the penalty kicks at the closing of the pre-season Marcelo Gallardo's team had a 4-3 victory at the penalty kicks, after drawing 0-0 against Deportivo Independiente Medellin in their last match in the United States.

River Plate had an unbeaten streak at the series of friendly matches in the United States: after the victories over Saprissa (1-0) and Millonarios (4-1), Monday night was no different. They won against DIM of Colombia by penalties, after drawing without goals during the 90 minutes played at Orlando City Stadium.
El Millonario controlled the game in the first half, and had better chances of opening the score with a great performance of Rafael Borré assisted by Rodrigo Mora. Borré made two left-footed shots that Gonzalez, the goalkeeper managed to cut, and a right shoot that went over the crossbar.
As to the Colombians, their only chance was with a free shot of Cano, which passed next to one of the soccer goal’s post.
The second half was more balanced, and again Borré had the opportunity to score, but his goal was canceled because of forward position. Independiente Medellín had clearer goal opportunities, because of a header made by Perlazza which ended hitting a post, and a shot by Blanco after overtaking Bologna, which Lollo managed to block on the line.
In penalties, the ones who converted for River were: Pratto, Maidana, Lollo and Nacho Fernández, while Scocco’s shot ended on the crossbar. For DIM, Pertuz’s shoot went outside and Corea’s was intercepted by Bologna.
The official season will begin next Sunday, where River Plate will be facing Central Norte de Salta in the stadium of Colón on Santa Fe, for the Copa Argentina.
