River bossed the game at the Monumental

River started with greater and better possession of the ball and its first approach was with a high header from Lucas Pratto after a cross by Rodrigo Mora. San Martin then responded three times in a row: a shot by Nicolás Da Campo, a headed shot by Martín Bravo and an attempt by Nazareno Solís, which Franco Armani contained.

Then, after a good climb from Pratto, Mora touched the ball and scored the first one for “El Millonario”. The second one came after a series of rebounds in San Martin’s area and a header by Camilo Mayada, almost at the goal line. This way, Gallardo's team stretched the difference in the score.

In the second half, Mora was attentive during a rival’s bad exit, he swiped the ball from a defender and then made a clinical finish, scoring the third goal of the game. In a slip during a corner shot, Facundo Erpen won in the area and scored the first one for San Juan.

The rival team made a few more disturbs, the clearest one was header from Gabriel Rodríguez, which Armani responded with hierarchy. The fourth goal of “El Millonario” came after a penalty that Ardente committed to Enzo Pérez and a good definition from Gonzalo Martínez, who finished on the right post of the rival’s goalkeeper.

River’s next match will be this Wednesday, in Avellaneda, against Independiente for the quarterfinals of CONMEBOL Libertadores. Then, on Sunday, he will visit Boca Juniors for a new date of the Superliga.
