After the great debut in Venezuela against Trujillanos, River Plate played the second match in the Libertadores Cup vs. San Pablo. The team from Brazil was defeated in their first presentation vs. The Strongest.

River was superior in the beggining and count with two chances of getting the first goal. First Lucas Alario was near and then a head shot of Rodrigo Mora hit the post. However, the visit found the advantage on his first arrival, through a shot from Ganso.

Millionaire scored the equalizer in a fortuitous move: after a corner from the left, goalkeeper Denis went wrong, let slip the ball and bounced off Thiago Mendes for 1-1 River.

In the second half, the team of Marcelo Gallardo had the best chances. San Pablo only had one that Jonathan Calleri lost inside the penalty area. River was near the goal on the feet of Iván Alonso, Mora, Mammana and a pair of dangerous centers of D'Alessandro.

With this tie, River has now four points in Group 1 and ranks second behind The Strongest, rival who will visit next week in Bolivia.
