River Plate already has its opponent in the semifinals of the Club World Cup: the Japanese team Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat Mazembe from Congo 3-0 and will face el Millonario. In its first game, played on December 10, it had defeated Auckland City from New Zealand 2-0.

Thus, the champion of the Copa Libertadores is going to play on Wednesday, December 16, at 7:30 am Buenos Aires time (19:30 Japan) against the local team. The meeting will take place at the Osaka Nagai Stadium.
