On Tuesday, River honoured four of its youth players.
Agustín Gómez (goalkeeper), Tomás Lecanda (central defender), Luciano Vera (left-winger) and Santiago Simón (forward), who were part of the U-17 national team that, under Pablo Aimar’s management, became the South American champion in Peru and qualified for the U-17 World Cup, which will take place in Brazil.
Before the match against Atlético Tucumán, the President, Rodolfo D’Onofrio, the 1st Vice-president, Jorge Brito, the 2nd Vice-president, Stefano Di Carlo, and the President of River’s Amateur Football division, Fernando Guarini, awarded medals to the four players, who are currently playing in River’s Sixth Division.
