Recognition awards for the U-17 champions The U-17 players Gómez, Lecanda, Vera and Simón received commemorative medals after winning the title as part of Argentina’s national football team in Peru.

On Tuesday, River honoured four of its youth players.
Agustín Gómez (goalkeeper), Tomás Lecanda (central defender), Luciano Vera (left-winger) and Santiago Simón (forward), who were part of the U-17 national team that, under Pablo Aimar’s management, became the South American champion in Peru and qualified for the U-17 World Cup, which will take place in Brazil.
Before the match against Atlético Tucumán, the President, Rodolfo D’Onofrio, the 1st Vice-president, Jorge Brito, the 2nd Vice-president, Stefano Di Carlo, and the President of River’s Amateur Football division, Fernando Guarini, awarded medals to the four players, who are currently playing in River’s Sixth Division.
