After winning the Argentina Cup, the official site of said competition revealed the ideal team for the tournament, of which three of River Plate’s players are part: Jonatan Maidana, Ignacio Fernández and Lucas Alario.
The three players were fundamental in the performance of el Millonario throughout the competition and Alario was the top scorer of the Argentina Cup, with seven goals (including the three scored in the final against Rosario Central).
Moreover, River has a fourth representative: Marcelo Gallardo was chosen as the best coach.
