The encounter in the “Bajo Flores” began smoothly, with San Lorenzo generating the first threatening situations. Nicolás Reniero managed to get in river’s area, and make a cross shoot, but Franco Armani made a great safe. Later, after a good triangulation between Nacho Fernández and Rafael Borré, Lucas Pratto shoot from the right, very close to the left post of Nicolás Navarro.

Reniero had one more chance, but got blocked, and his shot ended in the corner kick. Then, Juan Quintero put together a good individual play, but Navarro halt it. Pratto tried again with a hook and a weak shoot after an assistance by Enzo Pérez (who entered in replacement of the injured, Ignacio Fernández). River had another chance: a great crossed center by Gonzalo Montiel, but Borré barely missed it.

After a high shot from Quintero and a pass from Pratto, the Colombian pulled a piece of art: starting on the right, he went to the center, leaving the rivals along the way. Until he was facing Navarro and so then, he shoot the ball gently to the right post of San Lorenzo’s goalkeeper, making a clinical finish. Before the ending of the first half, Armani safely controlled a distant shot by Pablo Mouche.

The second half appeared with fewer goal situations, in comparison to the first one. And the game became jammed. San Lorenzo had a chance with a header made by Reniero that Armani blocked, and River was near the 2-0 with a high shot by Gonzalo Martínez (who had replaced Quintero).

However, with only 15 minutes left, River dropped the ball during corner kick and Blandi made a header, drawing the match (1-1).
Now, “El Millonario” will receive San Martín de San Juan in the Monumental Stadium when the Superliga resumes, while waiting for the quarterfinals of CONMEBOL Libertadores.
