In a thrilling match, River evens the score at the end

River, Argentina’s football champion, drew 3-3 against Rosario Central, in Arroyito, with a goal by Salomón Rondón and a brace by Pablo Solari.
The match started off evenly, with River trying to control the game with a squad of players who had not been spending much time on the field. José Paradela had the first scoring chance, with a long-range shot off a bad clearance by Jorge Broun. Nonetheless, the home team opened the scoring, when Alejo Véliz scored off an assist from Jaminton Campaz. River started to threaten the opponent's goal and struck several shots on goal that were saved by the keeper.
Pablo Solari surged up the left wing and smashed a shot that was blocked by the keeper. River had another chance, when Salomón Rondón kept control of the ball in the box, positioned himself and unleashed a shot that was also blocked by Broun. After Véliz smashed a header against the crossbar, Solari had another chance, making an overlapping run on the left wing and striking the ball with the inside of his right foot, but the keeper made a low save on his shot.
In the second half, River came out stronger and, before the 50th minute, had the first scoring chance: Paradela struck a left-footed low shot that was saved by the rival keeper. On the next opportunity, Rondón connected with a good assist coming from Solari on the right wing, scoring River’s well-deserved first goal. Central responded with a solid shot from Véliz, but Ezequiel Centurión made an excellent save on it.
When River was at its best, Rosario Central took advantage of a defensive lapse and repeated the formula for the first goal: Ignacio Malcorra sent a cross to Véliz, who set the score at 2-1. A few minutes later, Solari scored the equalizer for River with a great right-footed shot into Broun’s left goalpost. In the 85th minute, Luciano Ferreyra crossed a shot on goal, setting the score at 3-2.
River had one more chance left: in the last play of the match, the team played the ball quickly out of defense and Solari sent a great cross from Enzo Díaz into the goal, sealing the 3-3 result.
