Great Presence from River Plate at the Victory against Brazil Argentina won by 1-0 in Australia with Maidana as a starter and Alario and Fernández as substitutes. The goal came from a former Millonario player, Gabriel Mercado.

This Friday morning the Argentine national team defeated Brazil by 1-0 in a friendly match played in Melbourne, Australia, with great presence from River Plate. Jonatan Maidana was in the starting lineup, while Lucas Alario and Ignacio Fernández were substitutes. In addition, the player who scored the goal was Gabriel Mercado, a former River Plate player who won several times with the Club.

During the game, that was the debut of Jorge Sampaoli as coach of the national team, other players who came from the reserve of young players of The Greatest excelled, proving that River’s factory has always gave Argentina amazing players: Gonzalo Higuaín, Guido Rodríguez, Emanuel Mammana and Manuel Lanzini.

The Argentine team will travel to Singapore, where it will play against the local team at the national stadium to continue its preparation towards the final phase of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
