Gabriela, the greatest ever In Paris, the best Argentine female tennis player in history was awarded the Phillippe Chatrier trophy, the greatest ITF honour.

From giving her first steps at the Monumental stadium’s courts to receiving the greatest honour granted by the International Tennis Federation. In the middle, a brilliant career that has made her the best sportsperson in the history of our country and that has earned her the recognition of her colleagues and tennis fans all over the world.

On Wednesday, in the context of the Roland Garros tournament, Gabriela Sabatini was granted the Phillippe Chatrier award in Paris for her contribution to the sport inside and outside the courts.

“I’m very happy and honoured to receive this award. To be recognised for a career to which you have devoted your life is a tremendous honour, and it’s especial because Paris is a place where I have lived many beautiful moments,” Gaby expressed with heartfelt emotion at the ceremony.

During her career, of which River was the starting point, Sabatini won 27 titles in singles (US Open, among others), reached no. 3 in the worldwide ranking, and received the silver medal at the Seoul 1988 Summer Olympics.
