Draw in Victoria

In José Dellagiovana stadium in Victoria, River played its pending match against Tigre. After an intense match, in which River had the clearest chances, neither team could break the zero and both ended up dividing points.

In the beginning, Marcelo Gallardo had some problems to be effective, but several attempts were made while getting Tigre couldn"t disturb Barovero. In minute 20 "of that stage, Pisculichi had to leave the field for a hit, he was substituted by Lucho González, who returned to officially wear the shirt of River Plate. A shot he made and another from Ponzio, both from outside the area, were close to become a goal, but the first one was not precise and the second one was and found a good response ot Tigre"s goalkeeper.

In the second half, River generated betting opportunities to attack on the wings. The clearest opportunity was in the feet of Carlos Sánchez, who received a pass from Solari and faced the goalkeeper, but could not define precisely. Then González was also close to score, but, on two occasions, opposing defenders won the duel. Tigre, meanwhile, counterattacked Riber but their chances were frustrated by Marcelo Barovero.

Another highlight of this stage was the second returning of the night, when Saviola replaced Driussi and weared River shirt after 14 years. With his game and the one from Cavenaghi, River continued to attack, but failed to score and ended up obtaining a point from their visit to Victoria.

River next commitment will be this Saturday hosting Temperley in the Monumental stadium.
