D'onofrio Attended Immigrants Day Celebration The president of River Plate participated of the event that took place this Monday, September 26th, at the Headquarters of the Migration Office.

On the occasion of celebrating Immigrants Day, Rodolfo D'onofrio attended the event that took place in Retiro neighbourhood along with Government Officials, diplomats and representatives of different communities of immigrants.
On account of River Plate`s constant struggle to eradicate xenophobia and discrimination from football stadiums, D'onofrio was present to support such initiative and to make future campaigns.
Horacio García and Julián Curi, National Director and Deputy Director of Migrations for the Department of Domestic Affairs, Public Works and Housing conducted the event, in which approximately 500 people were present.
At the beginning of the event, there was a parade of flag bearers who wore traditional suits and carried banners of their communities. After a few words from the authorities, a multicultural cocktail party was given by the communities with the performances of the following groups: DaraChosan (Senegal), Gioia D`Italia, Scotland Argentina Association (from the Scottish community) and Enrique Martínez, from Chékere, representing Cuba.
There were also present Marisa Frescó (Undersecretary of Argentina Human Rights Promotion), Juan Sarrafian (President of the Argentine Federation of Communities), members of the diplomatic service, representatives of various NGO, officials from international organisms, members of the Armed Forces, leaders of different communities, special guests and staff of the organism.
