ESD’Onofrio spoke in the Football Congress This Thursday, October 6, the President of River participated in the event that took place at the Hilton Hotel, in which he spoke about the current situation of the Club.
Being the greatest club of the Argentine Republic, River Plate had its place in the Football Congress celebrated this Thursday, October 6, in which national sport leading figures, such as César Menotti, Ubaldo Fillol and Javier Zanetti, and leaders of Argentine football teams participated.
As regards clubs' economy, Rodolfo D’Onofrio commented on the importance of River Plate being the only one of the so-called greatest that has never declared itself insolvent, and highlighted the relevance of having always paid to its creditors.The Club's highest representative was categorical when speaking against public limited companies, prompting applause from the audience.
In addition, D’Onofrio deepened on the professionalization of the management of the structures of clubs, and of River in particular, and announced an important development in terms of innovation: tomorrow the eSports Division of the Institution will be launched and the first professional team of virtual football will be presented, which will defend River Plate's colors all over the world.
On the other hand, yesterday, Gustavo Silikovich (River Plate's General Manager) praised the Club's innovative approach and the digital transformation in football.
River Plate was also present with a luxury stand, in which one could appreciate a virtual reality attraction, the international cups and medals won during D’Onofrio's management and the new official book of unpublished photos “La otra mirada.”
