CONMEBOL Libertadores: Flamengo, River’s rival in the final The Brazilian team eliminated Gremio in the other semi-final. The grand finale between the two best teams of the continent will take place on Saturday, November 23rd.

After leaving Boca Juniors behind once more, River Plate will play the CONMEBOL Libertadores final again to defend the title won in 2018, precisely against its all-time rival.
Regarding the other bracket, Flamengo won a resounding victory against Gremio: they tied 1-1 in Porto Alegre, and Flamengo thrashed Gremio 5-0 in the Maracaná stadium. Up to now, the CONMEBOL decided that the final should be played at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago de Chile, at 5:30 pm (Argentina time).
In 2018, in the group stage, River and Flamengo met twice: the results were 2-2 in Rio de Janeiro (at the Botafogo stadium, with goals by Rodrigo Mora and Camilo Mayada) and 0-0 at the Monumental stadium.
