The event started off with a warm and heart-felt tribute to Argentina’s National Team, which won the Qatar World Cup last year. Then, the draw for the group stage of this year's CONMEBOL Libertadores was held.

The team managed by Martín Demichelis will lead Group D, which also includes Fluminense (Brazil), The Strongest (Bolivia), and Sporting Cristal (Peru).

On behalf of River, the attendees were Jorge Brito (President), Matías Patanian (1st Vice President), Ignacio Villarroel (2nd Vice President), Enzo Francescoli (Sports Director), and Martín Demichelis (coach of the professional men's team).
