A Monumental Party River played a great second half and turned the match around against Colon in the Monumental stadium: it won 3-1 with goals by Sebastian Driussi, Fernando Cavenaghi and Tabare Viudez.

River fans began arriving in Monumental stadium for this match against Colon, but with the undisguised joy of having reached the final of Libertadores Cup. However, before the match in Monterrey, the team of Marcelo Gallardo has this match by the local championship, with the aim of reaching the top of the tournament.
River was decided in the first half and managed the game, although it did not generated clear situations, it could produce some situations in the goal of Jorge Broun. However, it was Colon that went ahead after a free kick of Alan Ruiz and a definition in offside of German Conti that wasn"t sanctioned by referee Darío Herrera.
In the second half and before the three initial minutes, Sebastian Driussi took advantage of a good move of Fernando Cavenaghi and a cross from Gonzalo Martinez to volley a ball in the bottom right hand of the goalkeeper. Monumental stadium exploded with the tie and River went looking for more goals.
In the minute 16, Javier Saviola made a great center after fighting and hold the ball in the area letting Cavenaghi to put a beautiful header for the 2-1 and his goal number 11, reaching Marco Ruben in the top of the scoring charts.
In the end, Tabare Viudez was again crucial, as in Asuncion: he profited a pass to the middle from Pity Martínez coming from the left and he had the pleasure of shouting his first goal with the red band on the chest.
With the victory, River reached 37 points and reached the top of the table, waiting for Boca Juniors matches and San Lorenzo. The next match will be next Wednesday in Monterrey, in the first final of the Libertadores Cup.
