A last-gasp defeat River was winning at Paraná, but Patronato turned the match around in the overtime and, with a goal towards the end, it won 2-1. Driussi, one of the top scorers of the tournament, scored for El Millonario.

In the sixth round of the tournament, River visited Patronato and, even though it had begun winning and it did its best to get something more, the home team recovered in the second half of the match and put an end to its unbeaten record.

El Millonario, having played a good first half, pressed since de beginning and, after five minutes, had its first clear chance: after a one-two play with Alario, Driussi was face to face with Bértoli and shot, but the goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball just in time.

The tournament top scorer would get his own back soon because, a minute later, he went dribbling into the area and, after snubbing two opponents, beat the goalkeeper with a precise touch with the internal side of his right foot. Spectacular goal and 1-0.

D’Alessandro got together with Nacho Fernández, Andrade’s left became undecipherable for the defense and River seemed to be the owner of the game, but it lacked more precision in the last touch so as to make a bigger difference before halftime.

In the overtime, the home team was able to better neutralize River’s offensive attempts and, although till then it hadn’t disturbed Batalla too much, after 10 minutes Vargas scored a goal.

After the tie, Gallardo’s team didn’t give up and, although it wasn’t as profound as in the first half, took the game to the opponent’s field and had some chances. In the clearest situations, Driussi failed to connect by little a center into area from Nacho Fernández and a shot from Casco slipped just wide.

At the end, and when it seemed that the teams would distribute points, Patronato took advantage of a disputed play and got the final 2-1 with a header from Márquez. At the last moment, Mora had a chance to even the match, but the goalkeeper gave a good answer and there was no time for more.

In this way, and even though it deserved better luck, el Millonario returned from Paraná empty-handed and it is already thinking of its recovery: next Saturday, it will receive Atlético de Rafaela in the Monumental.
