A landslide and a record With the victory against Central Norte, River equaled the mark of 13 consecutive victories in the same tournament organized by the AFA.

River debuted with a triumph in the new edition of the “Copa Argentina”, a contest in which he is the current two-time champion. In addition, it reached an historical mark in local football: 13 consecutive victories in an AFA competition, and equaled San Lorenzo in 2001.

The streak began in July of 2016 against Sportivo Rivadavia of Venado Tuerto, winning in the middle two titles, in that same year against Rosario Central, and in 2017 against Atlético Tucumán.
