After introducing the club’s latest signings, River Plate dominated possession from the opening whistle. Just two minutes in, Facundo Colidio had a shot across goal after a pinpoint pass from Manu Lanzini. By the 7th minute, the breakthrough came: Giuliano Galoppo struck a brilliant left-footed shot following a corner kick, marking his first goal wearing the River Plate jersey.

River continued to dominate and nearly doubled the lead: Facundo Colidio won the ball back in River’s half and played it to Lanzini, who found Miguel Borja on the left. The Colombian unleashed a low cross-shot that was saved by Andrés Sánchez. Later, Borja found himself one-on-one with the keeper, but Sánchez denied him again. Just before halftime, Borja made it 2-0 with a stunning right-footed shot from outside the box into the top corner.

River faced no major threats in the second half, managing the game well, staying solid in defense, and securing another preseason friendly win, following last week’s victory in Chile. Gallardo’s team will now prepare for Saturday’s Apertura opener against Platense, where River will play away.
