Fernando Batista’s team had a great night at Colombia’s Pre-Olympics: on Thursday, February 6th, it beat the local team 2-1 and, apart from winning the title the previous matchday, it secured its place at the Olympic Games that will take place in Tokyo.

Julián Álvarez, River’s forward, was on the starting 11 and was replaced in the second half.

After the match, the manager shared: “This is for Argentina’s youth football. We have many great players in all the categories: despite the title and the qualification, we have to keep on working like this. To qualify one matchday before and winning the championship is very good for the whole project and everything we’ve been working on. These 23 players are having an incredible tournament.”

Now, Argentina’s national team will conclude its participation playing against Brazil, on Sunday, at 10:30 pm.
