Walter Koll took over as CEO of River Plate after being Managing Director of adidas and CFO of AT&T Argentina. Being an alumnus of Universidad de Buenos Aires and holding a postgraduate degree from UCEMA, the executive has built a prestigious career, which includes professional achievements such as the launch of Reebok in Argentina and adidas’s development as a leading brand in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.

As for Silikovich, he has a long-established career in the corporative world (Unilever, Techint, Price Waterhouse), and since he arrived at the club in January 2015, he played a key role in the professionalization of its structure and processes. Together with a team of high-level professionals, they designed and implemented processes in different areas of the Club, such as SAP, CMR and a new ecosystem of dialogue and relationship with the fans by means of different physical and digital assets.

He also cowrote the book “River, La Máquina. Copas. Superávit. Compromiso Social” [River: the Machine. Cups. Surplus. Social Commitment], which became a subject of study at the UBA School of Economics. In 2017, he was awarded the Executive of the Year Award at Madrid’s World Football Summit, representing River, because of all the significant changes made in the last few years regarding management.

Gustavo will continue in River in the upcoming months, collaborating with Koll to ensure a smooth transition, and supporting the Club’s growth and professionalization.

All of River wishes both Gustavo and Walter every success in their personal development and new professional endeavours.
