River was the winner of the Engagement category at the 2022 Samba Awards thanks to the campaign “Your time to become a member”. This award is given annually by the sports marketing agency Samba Digital, to recognize the best campaigns produced in Latin America.
The Club’s General Secretary, Stefano Di Carlo, was in charge of receiving the award from Johnny Hemann, Chief Creative at Samba Digital, at the Mâs Monumental offices. “This award, aside from being a great source of pride, recognizes the digital strategy that River has implemented to get to know fans even more, enhance their user experience and, mainly, provide them with the tools to become members of the Club in a few steps and 100% online,” Di Carlo explained.
The jury that rewarded River was made up of 40 members of the sports industry, including representatives from the world's most important football federations, club executives from the main European leagues, members of the sports industry, journalists, and digital influencers. River competed for this award against sports clubs and organizations from all over the continent, including Santos, Flamengo, Peñarol, Fluminense, and the AFA.
