River Plate has won 3-0 at the Mâs Monumental stadium, with goals from Claudio Echeverri, Facundo Colidio, and Pablo Solari, and secured its second win in the Professional Football League. River pressed and took control in the early minutes, with good combination plays and presence in attack. Esequiel Barco almost opened the scoring with a great free kick that hit the post; later, it was Claudio Echeverri who took a shot from a set piece, but Nahuel Losada managed to tip it away.

River kept pressing and created danger with a missed header from Pablo Solari. Solari later intercepted a poor clearance from Belgrano’s defense and set up Echeverri, who controlled the ball and set the score at 1-0 with a precise low finish. Before the end of the first half, Solari surged down the wing and tapped the ball to Miguel Borja: the Colombian player attempted a backheel that nearly resulted in the 2-0 lead.

At the start of the second half, Borja delivered a superb pass to Solari, who broke away down the right and attempted a low finish, but Losada made a good save down low. In another play, the Colombian player turned provider again, setting up Echeverri, who couldn’t dribble past the opposing keeper. River encountered no major difficulties and finally settled the match with goals from Facundo Colidio and Pablo Solari. Demichelis’ team wrapped up a great week, securing wins in both the league and the CONMEBOL Libertadores. The team will now focus on the next challenge: an Argentine Cup match on Tuesday in Mendoza, against Temperley.
